What You Need Before Starting

  • ✓ A compatible Amazon Fire TV device
  • ✓ A stable internet connection

Your login details are case-sensitive. Enter them exactly as shown in your activation message without adding spaces.

Step 1: Check Your Fire TV Model and Software

Open: Settings → My Fire TV or Device & Software → About

Many Fire TV devices use Fire OS, while newer models may use a different operating system. For example, Amazon identifies the Fire TV Stick 4K Select as a Vega OS device. Android APK installation instructions designed for Fire OS may not apply to Vega OS models.

If your device uses Vega OS, install only a compatible application available through the Amazon Appstore and confirm compatibility with NovaStar support before beginning.

Before installing anything, update the device: Settings → My Fire TV → About → Check for System Update

Step 2: Install a Compatible IPTV Player

Option A: Install from the Amazon Appstore (preferred)

  1. 1Select Find or the search icon on the Fire TV home screen.
  2. 2Search for the compatible player recommended in your NovaStar activation message.
  3. 3Confirm that the publisher name matches the official app developer.
  4. 4Select Get or Download.
  5. 5Open the app after installation.

App availability can vary by device, operating system and country. If the recommended player does not appear, contact support instead of installing an unrelated app with a similar name.

Option B: Install an Authorized App on a Compatible Fire OS Device

Use this method only when the required player is unavailable in the Amazon Appstore, your device uses Fire OS, and the app developer provides an official installation file.

  1. 1Install the Downloader utility from the Amazon Appstore.
  2. 2Open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options.
  3. 3Select Install Unknown Apps or Apps from Unknown Sources.
  4. 4Allow installation for Downloader only.

Then open Downloader and enter the complete official download URL supplied by the app developer or NovaStar support. Do not use random Downloader codes, shortened links or APK files shared in public groups.

Step 3: Add Your IPTV Login Details

Method A: Xtream Codes or API Login

  1. 1Open the IPTV player and select Add User / Add Playlist.
  2. 2Choose Xtream Codes, Xtream Codes API or Login with API.
  3. 3Enter a profile name, your username, password and the complete server URL.
  4. 4Select Add User, Login or Save.

Method B: M3U Playlist Login

  1. 1Select Add Playlist or Load Your Playlist.
  2. 2Choose M3U URL or Remote Playlist.
  3. 3Paste the complete M3U URL exactly as provided.
  4. 4Add the separate EPG URL only if your activation message includes one.
  5. 5Save the playlist and allow it to load.

Never publish your M3U URL. It normally contains private account information.

Common Firestick IPTV Problems

The Username or Password Is Rejected

  • Check capitalization carefully.
  • Remove accidental spaces before or after each field.
  • Confirm that the complete server URL was entered.
  • Make sure the trial or subscription is still active.

The Playlist Does Not Load

  • Confirm that the Firestick is connected to the internet.
  • Recheck the selected login method.
  • Restart the player and the Firestick.
  • Contact NovaStar support to confirm the account status.

The Stream Buffers or Freezes

  • Run a speed test on the Firestick.
  • Restart the router and Firestick.
  • Move the device closer to the router or test Ethernet.
  • Close other applications and large downloads.
